Donation of a brand new wheel chair to the talented Kwame Ofori!

Kwame was born with a disability that would leave many at a loss. Without the use of either of his legs he grew up trying to be just like everyone else. Playing soccer, hanging out with friends and doing as many day to day tasks as he could.

Growing up many of his peers laughed at him for his efforts. What they didn't know was that this was a boy of strong will and determination!

Showing more POWER and PASSION than most people will ever experience, Kwame began to explore dance and acrobatics. Years on, with the support of Asanti, his family and local community, he is now a talented performer who  inspires many with his extraordinary talents.

The wheelchair was donated on behalf of the founder, Mr Appiah Annan. It was presented by the NGO's manager, Mr Omari Oppong and communications manager, Mr Richard Amenato. Also in the picture is Kwame's father and the local bar attendant.

One love and high spirit Kwame. We hope this new wheelchair brings you many days of happiness and new inspiration to create your art!

Goodbye to our Aussie travelers!

Another successful trip has recently been completed with our friends from Australia who worked with us as a part of the WEKU Tour.

Many fun memories, sweaty bodies, laughs, cultural exchanges and good times were had. We wish all of you much happiness in your life and hope you one day return to dance and drum with us in Ghana again.

Are you interested in learning about the music, dance and culture of Ghana? Join us for the next 4 week tour where you get to train with us, see many beautiful parts of Ghana and work with our friends at the Nkabom NGO in Gomoa Durumpong.

Welcome home Yaw, Kwame, Yoga and Sass

After a 6 month tour in Australia we are proud to welcome home 4 of our artists. They have performed all over Melbourne and throughout Victoria wowing audiences with their raw talent, undulating torsos, flips through rings of fire and phenomenal acrobatics.

We look forward to hearing from them about their trip and have them share with us some of their experiences that they had.

This photo was taken with our friends at Multicultural Arts Victoria when they first arrived in Melbourne. Our boys are joined by the CEO Jill Morgan, our founder Appiah Annan and some of the dedicated staff at MAV.
